The scope, done right
M&M is an Australian services group delivering its facade capabilities to Dubai projects. Rope access and a building maintenance unit (BMU) are used as project-specific access methods for agreed facade rectification and make-good at height. The offer is the facade work performed from those systems, with access arrangements confirmed before mobilisation.
High-level facade defects can remain after installation access has moved on. Rope access, abseiling or an agreed BMU can provide a route back to the work area so the defined facade scope can be completed. The building, work location, project requirements and interfaces with the site or building team determine the access arrangement and sequence.
The verified offer is facade rectification and make-good at height. Any adjacent glass, sealant, coating or commissioning task is confirmed separately against the project package before it is represented as part of the access scope. The access system is the means of reaching the area; the defined repair remains the work M&M delivers.
Before mobilisation, the work area, access arrangement, interfaces and inspection requirements are agreed with the project team. Time-stamped condition and completion photographs can be held with the inspection and test plan (ITP), providing a traceable close-out record for the defined works.
The capability sits within the facade and finishing disciplines M&M has developed over more than 25 years in Australia and is now available to Dubai projects. Delivery is set against the project specification and applicable UAE requirements, without assuming that one building's access arrangement will suit another.
